Minimum age is 18 years – You need the Non-Restricted PAL course to take this course
If you took the non-restricted course in the past, but haven’t sent in your paperwork yet , that’s fine! The paperwork never expires, and you can apply for both licenses at the same time.
Cost: $125 per Student – including a photo for the initial application
Topics covered in the CRFSC include:
– the evolution of firearms, major parts, types and actions;
– basic firearms safety practices;
– ammunition;
– operating handgun actions;
– firing techniques and procedures for handguns;
– care of restricted firearms;
– responsibilities of the firearms owner/user; and
– safe storage, display, transportation and handling of restricted firearms.
